Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Maximiliano Ferdinand took the kick off in the first half of the match. Marcos Brion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Brion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Frichoso having to interfere. Aureliano Millano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Marcos Brion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Ferdinand cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Felipe Hori was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Melchor Aznaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgilio Restu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcelino Frichoso came out and tried to block the shot, but Virgilio Restu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 46th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Aureliano Millano made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Aureliano Millano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Frichoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Marayes getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Victorio Piarres hit a great ball. Catriel AFC's Marcos Brion suffered a concussion after 55 minutes and had to leave the field. Amadeo Canor charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amadeo Canor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Marayes! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aureliano Millano in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelino Frichoso saved Marayes from getting behind. Felipe Hori made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Melchor Aznaro sent off a good shot on target. Melchor Aznaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Felipe Hori made a huge save. Zeledon Ezkerra hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by Marayes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jonatan Porfirio was slow to take the kick. During this time Catriel AFC's players had a chance to rest. Felipe Hori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Ferdinand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Maximiliano Ferdinand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Catriel AFC had won after a very even match.
