The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

54 minutes into the game, Adrian Tiso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gaudencio Silbestre. Adrian Tiso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Armando Lore hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. When Aurelio Azeari came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Paulito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Azeari couldn't finish the play. In the 75th match minute, Paulito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lázaro Gustau to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, Los Tuzos del Pachuca F.C's goalkeeper Gaudencio Silbestre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrian Tiso. Armando Lore hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The Paulito fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulino Berriotxoa should have stopped the shot. Paulito's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
