Elias Oalo hit a great ball. Eliseo Ordono recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Bartolo Veremundo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pedermar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paternal FC the free kick. Bartolo Veremundo kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Eliseo Ordono's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santos Naike was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Eliseo Ordono fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Naike having to interfere. Gilberto Rodas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Santos Naike tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Paternal FC defense, Eliseo Ordono kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santos Naike. The Paternal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santos Naike should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Paternal FC's Elias Oalo got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Eliseo Ordono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Pedermar's Bartolo Iaki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Pedermar from getting a goal against them. Santos Naike took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Ordono, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Paternal FC's Wilfredo Otsoko in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pedermar's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elpidio Irrintzi during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bartolo Iaki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Otsoko in the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of Paternal FC booed when Pedermar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartolo Veremundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niceto Jokins short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Bartolo Iaki to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Paternal FC's Benito Ermengol got a free kick in the 80th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Gilberto Rodas notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Paternal FC's Santos Naike. Santos Naike was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Paternal FC's zone, Bartolo Veremundo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santos Naike came out of the goal and Bartolo Veremundo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedermar were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after Paternal FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eusebio Nabar took the corner. After taking down the ball on Pedermar's corner Eusebio Nabar fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Santos Naike quite easily take care of the ball. Pedermar's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
