In the 16th minute Jairo Dalmau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Gudesteo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Violetas's German Gudesteo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Violetas from getting a goal against them. 37 minutes into the match, Violetas's goalkeeper German Gudesteo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romeo Montes. German Gudesteo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basilio Telo in the 38th minute of play. Astica:s Luciano Bakar showed great skill when he stopped Celestino Policarpio:s penalty. Basilio Telo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. German Gudesteo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Astica's Basilio Telo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind German Gudesteo. German Gudesteo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celestino Policarpio to make the kick off. After 55 minutes, Bartolo Abeita mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Astica and the Violetas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Celestino Policarpio ran back to his position shaking his head. Astica were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Violetas for a fine match.
