In the 8th minute Danilo Chabier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Mero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Matthew's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudio Mero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ibahay's zone, Danilo Chabier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Mero came out of the goal and Danilo Chabier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tadeo Larra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the game, Ibahay's Tadeo Larra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niceto Galeno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 61st minute, Julio Matthew fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Claudio Mero, passed just outside the right post. Claudio Mero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Matthew in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Danilo Chabier made a precise shot to the right of Claudio Mero. Ibahay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Niceto Galeno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Rosario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danilo Chabier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Claudio Mero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudio Mero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Matthew in the 79th minute of the match. Claudio Mero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Matthew in the 81st minute of play. Cristo Bingen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tadeo Larra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Tadeo Larra sped through RIVERAFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Niceto Galeno. Ibahay's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
