Riachuelo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aldo Donio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 12 minutes into the game, Abel Gaitano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capivara FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Riachuelo FC the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aldo Donio got free with Godofredo Diegotxe in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes into the match, Aureliano Colon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simon Tuste. Riachuelo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aureliano Colon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The audience was convinced that Haroldo Patrido's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Godofredo Diegotxe was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Patrido in the 39th minute of play forced Capivara FC's goalkeeper Godofredo Diegotxe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aldo Donio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Godofredo Diegotxe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 minutes, Edelmiro Mino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Riachuelo FC and the Capivara FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haroldo Patrido in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Godofredo Diegotxe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gaston Katia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Capivara FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Lino Polentzi hit a great ball. A collision led to Riachuelo FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Cristobal Benvide hit a great ball. Haroldo Patrido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Godofredo Diegotxe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Capivara FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
