Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Chavarría's Marciano Edwardo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ernesto Restu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Crescencio in the 3rd minute of play. Ernesto Restu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marciano Edwardo in the 5th minute of the match. Paulino Suero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Ernesto Restu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Chavarría getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Florencio Gregory hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute, Teobaldo Erdiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marciano Edwardo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernesto Restu having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marciano Edwardo in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernesto Restu saved Zavalla from getting behind. A collision led to Zavalla getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Roman Peter hit a great ball. In the 35th minute of the match Erubiel Guillen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ernesto Restu skillfully saved the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Marciano Edwardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 48 minutes into the match, Zavalla's goal looked a bit too open when Marciano Edwardo came free, but Ernesto Restu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teobaldo Erdiano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Isidro Oalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobaldo Erdiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd minute Silvestre Perpinya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Oalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Zavalla's goal looked a bit too open when Marciano Edwardo came free, but Ernesto Restu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zavalla's Ernesto Restu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marciano Edwardo in the 69th minute of play. In the 76th minute Marciano Edwardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Restu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, one of Zavalla:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 79 minutes, Chavarría's Erubiel Guillen got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ernesto Restu. Teobaldo Erdiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Isidro Oalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cosme Calvet's late challenge caught a Zavalla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cosme Calvet helped the player get up and apologised. Cosme Calvet hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Paulino Suero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Ernesto Restu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Zavalla supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chavarría's performance. The match ended with a win for Chavarría.
