The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pedro Balasi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Haitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The supporters of Rawson booed when Energía was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Rafel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th match minute, Energía was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Benvide to maneuver through the defense. The nice shot from Basilio Cordaryal in the 16thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Pedro Balasi had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After 20 minutes, Danilo Montae mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rawson and the Energía players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 22 minutes, Basilio Cordaryal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rawson's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basilio Cordaryal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Energía's Pedro Balasi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Energía from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute, Paulino Haitz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Balasi. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 31st match minute, Energía was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Benvide to maneuver through the defense. After 33 played minutes Rawson got a freekick which was hit by Celedonio Umea. If Americo Padro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute Americo Padro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Balasi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marciano Etxahun struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Modesto Quinito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Energía. Pedro Balasi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celedonio Umea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Marciano Etxahun made the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes, Osvaldo Benvide mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Energía and the Rawson players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pedro Balasi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Americo Padro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osvaldo Benvide blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Modesto Quinito having to make a save. After 66 minutes, Braulio Ferrer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Energía and the Rawson players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pedro Balasi came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Rawson's Americo Padro. But to his dismay, Americo Padro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 86 minutes into the match, Celedonio Umea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Balasi. Energía's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Celedonio Umea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 92nd minute, Paulino Haitz made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Balasi. Energía's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0.
