After a defensive mix-up in Anchorena AFC's zone, Angel Asur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciriaco Ricart came out of the goal and Angel Asur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angel Asur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bonifacio Jusepe got in the 13th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Ciriaco Ricart handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After 15 played minutes Anchorena AFC got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Luix. Maximiliano Edorta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lorenzo Balesio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Papagallos AFC's Teobaldo Cristofol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenzo Balesio in the 24th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guaberto Xacintu during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Anchorena AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guaberto Xacintu to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Anchorena AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Papagallos AFC:s goal. The referee gave Papagallos AFC a penalty, 32 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jonathan Norino, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Anchorena AFC's Ciriaco Ricart. 1-0. Damaso Iratze charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damaso Iratze the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Angel Asur blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciriaco Ricart having to make a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lorenzo Balesio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Maximiliano Edorta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Teobaldo Cristofol made a huge save. 55 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Edorta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Teobaldo Cristofol. Maximiliano Edorta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Ciriaco Ricart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Asur in the 58th minute of play. Papagallos AFC's Bonifacio Jusepe got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Lorenzo Balesio came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Anchorena AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lorenzo Balesio couldn't finish the play. When Anchorena AFC's Lorenzo Balesio in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Lorenzo Balesio really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. In the 95th minute, Froilan Luix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
