Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ladislao Ignado started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Bovril got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Orlin. Placido Fernendo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Urtun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Navarro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Fernendo having to interfere. Maximino Ted made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Rios in the 17th minute of play. Ivan Ponciano charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivan Ponciano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Bovril booed when Pumas UNAM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Ponciano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Jimeno Quintan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pumas UNAM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bovril the free kick. After a rather tough play, Pumas UNAM's Jimeno Quintan got a free kick in the 26th minute. The supporters of Pumas UNAM booed when Bovril was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Ilixo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Rolando Navarro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Placido Fernendo, 1-0. When Jacobo Orlin came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Bovril fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacobo Orlin couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramiro Cordarrell got free with Placido Fernendo in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pumas UNAM were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Bovril's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rolando Navarro took the corner. In the 46th minute Antonio Gabino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Ted saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Freddy Urtun made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Gabino got free with Maximino Ted in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Pumas UNAM's Ivan Ponciano got a free kick in the 56th minute. Freddy Urtun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Placido Fernendo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Urtun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pumas UNAM's Esteban Olo got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Freddy Urtun put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Placido Fernendo. Ivan Ponciano struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Placido Fernendo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pumas UNAM. Pumas UNAM's Conrado Oriol was substituted for Freddy Urtun. The audience was convinced that Esteban Olo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Placido Fernendo was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pumas UNAM had won after a very even match.
