Leonardo Aurken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Fernando Txordon made a huge save. Angelino Terciero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Fernando Txordon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelino Terciero struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Fernando Txordon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Papagallos FC. A collision led to Ushuaia getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Baltasar Baladi hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ushuaia's zone, Fernan Txaran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Txordon came out of the goal and Fernan Txaran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonardo Aurken might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernando Txordon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonardo Aurken ran back to his position shaking his head. If Godfredo Martinez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Papagallos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Godfredo Martinez came free, but Romulo Chico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Papagallos FC's Ramon Napier got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Isaias Erauso's late challenge caught a Ushuaia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isaias Erauso helped the player get up and apologised. Isaias Erauso hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Baltasar Baladi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Romulo Chico. Papagallos FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 28 played minutes Ushuaia got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Iigo. Ushuaia's Fermin Lizardi got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the game, Fermin Lizardi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Romulo Chico was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Romulo Chico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fermin Lizardi, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Ramon Napier charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramon Napier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th match minute, Papagallos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramon Napier to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Godfredo Martinez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ushuaia's supporters rose to their feet, but Godfredo Martinez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romulo Chico breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Ushuaia were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Angelino Terciero made the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes Ushuaia got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Iigo. Leonardo Aurken took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernando Txordon. Fernando Txordon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Godfredo Martinez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Romulo Chico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Ushuaia's Romulo Chico threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Godfredo Martinez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Fermin Lizardi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Romulo Chico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godfredo Martinez got in the 68th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Romulo Chico handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Godfredo Martinez in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romulo Chico prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Leonardo Aurken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fermin Lizardi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romulo Chico having to interfere. After 84 played minutes Ushuaia got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Iigo. 91 minutes into the match, Papagallos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Godfredo Martinez came free, but Romulo Chico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romulo Chico made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Fermin Lizardi sent off a good shot on target. Papagallos FC's Romulo Chico proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Papagallos FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 96 minutes, Godfredo Martinez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ushuaia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godfredo Martinez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ushuaia players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
