In the 17th match minute, Despeñaderos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anibal Ekialde to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Steven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Cipriano Gaitan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ovidio Osasun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Saturnino Matthew having to make a save. Jonathan Steven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Despeñaderos AFC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
