The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Delmar Columbo during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Delmar Columbo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Eloy Bento firmly grabbed it by the left post. After having played for 27 minutes, Delmar Columbo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vértiz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delmar Columbo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Delmar Columbo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Eduardo Laffitte came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Vértiz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Laffitte couldn't finish the play. After having played for 35 minutes, Eduardo Laffitte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vértiz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Laffitte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eloy Bento made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Delmar Columbo sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot 39 in the game by Eduardo Laffitte from a close distance when the talented Eloy Bento managed to make a qualified save. Luxray's players were relieved. Eduardo Laffitte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Bento having to interfere. Luxray's Eloy Bento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Laffitte in the 44th minute of play. If Eduardo Laffitte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luxray's Eloy Bento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Luxray from getting a goal against them.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Melquiades Remir was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Delmar Columbo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eloy Bento was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Eduardo Laffitte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vértiz's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Laffitte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eloy Bento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th match minute, Luxray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melquiades Remir to maneuver through the defense. Eloy Bento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delmar Columbo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eloy Bento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Laffitte in the 61st minute of play. Eloy Bento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Laffitte, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Melquiades Remir's late challenge caught a Vértiz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduardo Laffitte in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eloy Bento saved Luxray from getting behind. Eloy Bento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uriel Bilbo in the 88th minute of play. Eloy Bento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Laffitte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Laffitte in the 92nd minute of play forced Luxray's goalkeeper Eloy Bento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vértiz walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
