After 6 played minutes Puyel got a freekick which was hit by Filomeno Felo. Jorge Gartxot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Candido Vistruario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Luzaide in the 11th minute of play. Vicente Luzaide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candido Vistruario having to interfere. Amancio Montrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Vistruario having to interfere. Rigoberto Modestio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Puyel booed when Saira AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorio Weather didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amancio Montrell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Jose Vistruario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Puyel's Amancio Montrell in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Saira AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Puyel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amancio Montrell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rigoberto Modestio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Rigoberto Modestio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Gartxot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candido Vistruario having to interfere. Puyel's Candido Vistruario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Luzaide in the 40th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amancio Montrell to strike the kick off in the second half. Dario Quinten kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 60th match minute, Puyel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantino Roldanillo to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vicente Luzaide in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Candido Vistruario saved Puyel from getting behind. In the 92nd minute, Vicente Luzaide got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
