Fulgencio Ederono showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justino Cordarrell in the 12th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Severino Gabirel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Luciano Ostargi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severino Gabirel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Fulgencio Ederono stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Justino Cordarrell's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Justino Cordarrell made the kick off in the second half. When Justino Cordarrell came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the guerreros del sur fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justino Cordarrell couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Hunter booed when guerreros del sur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmiro Nafarroa didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justino Cordarrell in the 81st minute of play forced Hunter's goalkeeper Fulgencio Ederono to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, guerreros del sur's Diego Bartoleme sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fulgencio Ederono narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Justino Cordarrell dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Despite being the better team, guerreros del sur failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
