Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Efrain Munio started the match with the kick off. Ivan Gorri might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rigoberto Bingen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivan Gorri ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 9th minute Edelmiro Janpier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Bingen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rigoberto Bingen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edelmiro Janpier's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. When Manuel Florian came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Alumbrera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Florian couldn't finish the play. Enrique Chico kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Alumbrera's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Ponciano came free, but Rigoberto Bingen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agustin Belo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efrain Munio in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Joaquin Abad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Florian in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Agustin Belo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ivan Gorri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Bingen having to interfere. When Edelmiro Janpier came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Newpi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edelmiro Janpier couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Newpi booed when Alumbrera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelino Sansone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edelmiro Janpier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Rigoberto Bingen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ivan Gorri to make the kick off. In the 55th minute of the match Lorenzo Chap shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Agustin Belo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 56th minute, Gerardo Ponciano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Manuel Florian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ivan Gorri came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Newpi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Gorri couldn't finish the play. Edelmiro Janpier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. The attack was good, but when Ivan Gorri in the 70th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 82nd match minute, Newpi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerardo Ponciano to maneuver through the defense. If Manuel Florian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edelmiro Janpier's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Rigoberto Bingen skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Efrain Munio in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Agustin Belo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Efrain Munio came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Alumbrera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Efrain Munio couldn't finish the play. Newpi played a much better game than Alumbrera and deserved their victory. The Alumbrera players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
