Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Victor Dino got the match started through his kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Eugenio Intxixu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Irene's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugenio Intxixu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Camilo Hermelando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Chorche in the 8th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Dino in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisco Bertol saved Irene from getting behind. If Alfredo Precioso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Irene's Augusto Gaztea seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Augusto Gaztea the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Irene protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Augusto Gaztea had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Gaudencio Gartzi came free in the 18th minute and tried to tip the ball over Francisco Bertol, but to the joy of Irene's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. After 22 minutes, Victor Dino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sanagasta FC and the Irene players grew even worse after the yellow card. Severiano Urbasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfredo Precioso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Bertol having to interfere. If Victor Dino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 39 minutes, Christian Dantae managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Irene's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Dantae was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victor Dino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Francisco Bertol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Irene got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Enmanuel. In the 47th minute, Alfredo Precioso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Niceto Chorche stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Niceto Chorche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Camilo Hermelando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godofredo Riuss short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Camilo Hermelando to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Francisco Bertol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Precioso, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After some careless play in the Irene defense, Alfredo Precioso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisco Bertol. The Irene fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisco Bertol should have stopped the shot. If Alfredo Precioso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Godofredo Rius kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Alfredo Precioso struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Francisco Bertol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sanagasta FC. Sanagasta FC's Camilo Hermelando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Dantae in the 71st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niceto Chorche got free with Camilo Hermelando in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sanagasta FC! If Alfredo Precioso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ivan Savier fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Irene's protests and gave Ivan Savier a yellow card for diving instead. After 81 played minutes Irene got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Savier. Niceto Chorche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Hermelando having to interfere. Alfredo Precioso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco Bertol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. In the 99th minute Victor Dino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Bertol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sanagasta FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Irene had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
