Claudio Hurko came out of the goal and Feliberto Chaime tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute Domingos Miro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Harriet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vicente Feliz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudio Hurko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tapiales had won after a very even match.
