A collision led to Emilia getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Baldomiro Lopez hit a great ball. After 5 played minutes, Club Atlético Nacional's Benjamin Bernebe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Santiago Eli came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Atlético Nacional reached it. After a rather tough play, Emilia's Agustin Rufo got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute, Rafael Ferdinand left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atlético Nacional fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Club Atlético Nacional's Samuel Celino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Nacional from getting a goal against them. Agustin Rufo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eduardo Cordeal during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 20 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Rufo came free, but Samuel Celino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Celino was a little too slow when Agustin Rufo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-1. Emilia's Santiago Eli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Goito in the 25th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Nacional's Benjamin Bernebe got a free kick in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustin Rufo in the 32nd minute of play forced Club Atlético Nacional's goalkeeper Samuel Celino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Emilia getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Dante Orlandus hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Emilia's zone, Rafael Ferdinand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Eli came out of the goal and Rafael Ferdinand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute, Baldomiro Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Mauro Goito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santiago Eli was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 40th match minute, Emilia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Cordeal to maneuver through the defense. Adan Moise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Celino having to interfere. After 43 played minutes Emilia got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Lopez. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adan Moise to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Club Atlético Nacional's Mauro Goito ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Santiago Eli. Santiago Eli yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Samuel Celino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adan Moise in the 61st minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Adan Moise notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Club Atlético Nacional's Samuel Celino. Samuel Celino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Santiago Eli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Goito in the 70th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Ferdinand got free with Santiago Eli in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adan Moise struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Samuel Celino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Emilia. Agustin Rufo might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samuel Celino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agustin Rufo ran back to his position shaking his head. Baldomiro Lopez kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. With his leg Santiago Eli managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Club Atlético Nacional's Rafael Ferdinand fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Ferdinand got free with Santiago Eli in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Santiago Eli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Ferdinand in the 88th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
