To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 3 minutes into the game, Delmiro Abalos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Margarita FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Messi F.C the free kick. 9 minutes into the match, Messi F.C's goalkeeper Enzo Ermano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vinicio Ganix. Luis Urbes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Messi F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Primitivo Papo came free, but Enzo Ermano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 18th minute of the match Delmiro Abalos completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Delmiro Abalos a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Delmiro Abalos kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Luis Urbes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Messi F.C booed when Margarita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgilio Panpili didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vinicio Ganix struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Enzo Ermano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Margarita FC. Enzo Ermano made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Primitivo Papo sent off a good shot on target. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luis Urbes to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Margarita FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Urbes came free, but Primitivo Peruanton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Luis Urbes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Messi F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Urbes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Primitivo Peruanton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Primitivo Peruanton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alvaro Mantzio in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvaro Mantzio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Primitivo Peruanton having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Primitivo Papo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enzo Ermano was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Urbes in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Primitivo Peruanton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vinicio Ganix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Enzo Ermano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
