Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Marquinhos Eger took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Brinkman's zone, Joaquin Cordareo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgardo Cordarryl came out of the goal and Joaquin Cordareo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Feliciano Enmanuel sped through Brinkman's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edgardo Cordarryl. Faustino Bide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Severiano Tercero fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cruz Azul's protests and gave Severiano Tercero a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Cruz Azul's Severiano Tercero got a free kick in the 10th minute. Severiano Tercero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Edgardo Cordarryl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Cruz Azul's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomiro Sayvion came free, but Anselmo Elixio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severiano Tercero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th minute, Joaquin Cordareo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cruz Azul fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Edgardo Cordarryl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severiano Tercero in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute Feliciano Enmanuel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Cordarryl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Cruz Azul's Feliciano Enmanuel in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brinkman's goalie prevented a goal. Anselmo Elixio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernabe Policarpio in the 41st minute of the match. Brinkman's Edgardo Cordarryl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquinhos Eger in the 44th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Feliciano Enmanuel in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgardo Cordarryl saved Brinkman from getting behind.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernabe Policarpio to strike the kick off in the second half. Feliciano Enmanuel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgardo Cordarryl came out of the goal and Marquinhos Eger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Cruz Azul's Hugo Jenaro got a free kick in the 61st minute. Anselmo Elixio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernabe Policarpio, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Genaro Mergildo hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. The supporters of Cruz Azul booed when Brinkman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Cordareos short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Edgardo Cordarryl to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the last second Edgardo Cordarryl throw himself and got hold of the ball when Feliciano Enmanuel in the 76thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Severiano Tercero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Edgardo Cordarryl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgardo Cordarryl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marquinhos Eger in the 80th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomiro Sayvion in the 81st minute of play forced Cruz Azul's goalkeeper Anselmo Elixio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anselmo Elixio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustino Bide, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 87th minute, Marquinhos Eger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cruz Azul's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
