Joaquin Cordareo's late challenge caught a Rincón FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joaquin Cordareo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cruz Azul's Joaquin Cordareo got a free kick in the 6th minute. Joaquin Cordareo hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute of the match Romulo Esdras sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anselmo Elixio skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Feliciano Enmanuel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cruz Azul's supporters rose to their feet, but Feliciano Enmanuel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gervasio Gumaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquin Cordareo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Gervasio Gumaro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Cruz Azul booed when Rincón FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anier Ramirez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gervasio Gumaro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquin Cordareo went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Marquinhos Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervasio Gumaro having to interfere. Marquinhos Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cruz Azul's Feliciano Enmanuel got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joaquin Cordareo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Gervasio Gumaro made a huge save. Rincón FC were furious when Romulo Esdras was red carded, 44 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 43 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rincón FC! The crowd rose to their feet as Marquinhos Eger kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gervasio Gumaro. That made the score 3-0 in the 47 minute of play.

Bernardino Enekoitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Elixio having to interfere. Gervasio Gumaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marquinhos Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Feliciano Enmanuel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute Ubaldo Quintan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Elixio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Damaso Valiente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 69 minutes, Celestino Corderun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cruz Azul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celestino Corderun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Marquinhos Eger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gervasio Gumaro was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Feliciano Enmanuel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gervasio Gumaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos Eger in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Anier Ramirez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rincón FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cruz Azul the free kick. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rincón FC! Joaquin Cordareo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Rincón FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marquinhos Eger came free, but Gervasio Gumaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Cruz Azul's goalkeeper Anselmo Elixio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardino Enekoitz. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cruz Azul fully deserved thier win.
