The referee ignored Curarú AFC's protests and gave Cristian Munio a yellow card for diving instead. Braulio Natal, 13 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Denis Dei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvano Lucila, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Justo Formerio kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. After 98 minutes, Victoriano Marcones mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the angeles de puebla and the Curarú AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Curarú AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while angeles de puebla had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
