The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Ulises Estevez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. In the 15thth minute of the game Dalmacio Alonso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Puiggari FC's Cipriano Ramos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Santos Kaxen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carolina's supporters rose to their feet, but Santos Kaxen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Ramos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carolina's Dalmacio Alonso got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 20 played minutes Puiggari FC got a freekick which was hit by Ulises Estevez. Luciano Toli hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Julio Gelacio, 24 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Carolina's Hugo Theobald got a free kick in the 25th minute.
