Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Feliberto Nel made the kick off which started today's match. Eustacio Vedillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santos Kaxen, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Santos Kaxen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Eustacio Vedillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Curarú AFC booed when Carolina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Nabar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Carolina! In the 18th minute, Feliberto Nel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Curarú AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Dalmacio Alonso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Eustacio Vedillo made a huge save. In the 25th minute, Justo Formerio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dalmacio Alonso took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eustacio Vedillo. Eustacio Vedillo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvano Lucila in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alonzo Olando saved Carolina from getting behind. If Silvano Lucila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Curarú AFC's Silvano Lucila got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Dalmacio Alonso came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Carolina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dalmacio Alonso couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santos Kaxen in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eustacio Vedillo saved Curarú AFC from getting behind. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Alonzo Olando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justo Formerio in the 52nd minute of play. Cristian Munio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carolina's Alonzo Olando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliberto Nel in the 56th minute of play. Silvano Lucila might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alonzo Olando. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvano Lucila ran back to his position shaking his head. Eustacio Vedillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmacio Alonso in the 64th minute of the match. Silvano Lucila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santos Kaxen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dalmacio Alonso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eustacio Vedillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. In the 87th minute Feliberto Nel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Olando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carolina's Dalmacio Alonso got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
