In the 20th match minute, Monteagudo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Astor Jobo to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Tafí's Eloy Maura tried to score from far away in the 21st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 25th match minute, Tafí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnulfo Quilino to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute of the match Silverio Gonza shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jimeno Urtun showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Baldomiro Millano notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Monteagudo's Casimiro Fortun. Casimiro Fortun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 35 minutes into the match, Monteagudo's goalkeeper Casimiro Fortun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baldomiro Millano. When Monteagudo's Christian Balasi in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tafí's goalie prevented a goal. Christian Balasi might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jimeno Urtun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Balasi in the 46th minute of play forced Tafí's goalkeeper Jimeno Urtun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guido Sergi to make the kick off. Jimeno Urtun made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Prospero Viator sent off a good shot on target. Casimiro Fortun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Sergi, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Astor Jobo might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jimeno Urtun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Monteagudo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baldomiro Millano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tafí had won after a very even match.
