Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Grant Danes started the match with the kick off. Agustin Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 3rd minute of play. Valentin Lidon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agustin Rossi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 16th minute of the game Primitivo Andino made a throw-in which Felix Montenegro played forward. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Agustin Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Ombu's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Agustin Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ombu's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agustin Rossi came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Ombu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfredo Mendez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agustin Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of the match. Ombu's Agustin Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Grant Danes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Primitivo Andino made in the 38th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Felix Montenegro. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 42nd minute Juan Sebastián Puig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grant Danes in the 45th minute of the match.

Godfredo Mendez kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Frans Lundgren came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute Frans Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Grant Danes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frans Lundgren's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. 67 minutes into the game, Primitivo Andino threw the ball into play from the sideline. Ombu's Pinkus Aspvik quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 73 minutes in the game Primitivo Andino did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Daniel Zorita. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Agustin Rossi firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after Ombu's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ombu's goalie and right to Felix Montes. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ombu's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Primitivo Andino made in the 80th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cristian Sancho however managed to control. After a defensive mix-up in Ombu's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agustin Rossi came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agustin Rossi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 84th minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ombu's attentive Eusebio Cordarrel managed to snatch the ball when Primitivo Andino made a throw-in in the 91st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frans Lundgren in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Agustin Rossi in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Ombu had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
