Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Atilano Vedillo got the match started through his kick off. Bermejo's Siro Tolino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Celino in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th minute, Serafin Joachim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 5 minutes, Ladislao Oinaz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bermejo and the Deportivo Cruz Azul players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Bermejo getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ladislao Oinaz hit a great ball. Nicasio Celino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Siro Tolino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Serafin Joachim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Serafin Joachim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atilano Vedillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Gregorio Casomiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26thth minute of the game Serafin Joachim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bermejo's Siro Tolino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Atilano Vedillo came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Bermejo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atilano Vedillo couldn't finish the play. Ladislao Oinaz kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. A collision led to Bermejo getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Albino Erlantz hit a great ball. Uriel George, 38 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafin Joachim in the 40th minute of play forced Bermejo's goalkeeper Siro Tolino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Serafin Joachim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jacinto Brion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Gregorio Casomiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Serafin Joachim to make the kick off. Bermejo's Siro Tolino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Bermejo from getting a goal against them. In the 57th minute, Guido Piearres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Brion in the 67th minute of play forced Deportivo Cruz Azul's goalkeeper Gregorio Casomiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrian Esquipula hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Deportivo Cruz Azul's Gregorio Casomiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilano Vedillo in the 76th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Galtero during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 80th match minute, Deportivo Cruz Azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Galtero to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Dario Rioja sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Deportivo Cruz Azul's Gregorio Casomiro didn't even have to move. When Bermejo's Atilano Vedillo in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deportivo Cruz Azul's goalie prevented a goal. If Jacinto Brion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Jacinto Brion got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Atilano Vedillo came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Bermejo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atilano Vedillo couldn't finish the play. Serafin Joachim struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Siro Tolino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Cruz Azul. Deportivo Cruz Azul's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
