Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Checos's Francisco Ongile started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Hermengildo Henry cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Pascual Pacorro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Checos booed when LyFri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Gurutz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pascual Pacorro made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Narciso Oriche sent off a good shot on target. 11 minutes into the game, Anier Opilano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Generoso Videl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Anier Opilano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Godfredo Gipuzkoa made in the 16th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Martin Teyo immediately put the ball in play. Generoso Videl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomero Iraitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute Anier Opilano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Videl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hipolito Gurutz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Generoso Videl having to interfere. Pascual Pacorro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Ongile in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Oriche in the 31st minute of play forced LyFri's goalkeeper Pascual Pacorro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remigio Matro hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Baldomero Iraitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hipolito Gurutz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Generoso Videl having to interfere. Generoso Videl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anier Opilano in the 39th minute of play. When Baldomero Iraitz came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the LyFri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomero Iraitz couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd minute Anier Opilano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Videl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomero Iraitz in the 43rd minute of play forced Checos's goalkeeper Generoso Videl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hipolito Gurutz struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Generoso Videl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LyFri. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Hipolito Gurutz's late challenge caught a Checos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hipolito Gurutz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd match minute, LyFri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hipolito Gurutz to maneuver through the defense. Godfredo Gipuzkoa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 60 played minutes LyFri got a freekick which was hit by Rene Natanael. When the match had been going on for 71 minutes, LyFri's Baldomero Iraitz got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Generoso Videl. Anier Sotil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pascual Pacorro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Oriche in the 80th minute of the match. Anier Opilano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Generoso Videl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pascual Pacorro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Oriche in the 88th minute of play. Hipolito Gurutz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baldomero Iraitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Generoso Videl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of LyFri booed when Checos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Oriche didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the LyFri players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
