An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Ezkerra in the 9th minute of play forced Traill's goalkeeper Ciro Sadurni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urbano Gai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 16 played minutes Traill got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Medero. In the 16th minute of the match Geronimo Orlondo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ciro Sadurni showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Filiberto Ezkerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everardo Eneas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paolo Presebal was the one to do the kick off. Sergio Aimar came out of the goal and Florencio Eneto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Emiliano Luke came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Trinchera FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emiliano Luke couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Traill's Pedro Medero got a free kick in the 91st minute. With a little luck, Traill's Ciro Sadurni got control of the ball when Emiliano Luke tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Emiliano Luke fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trinchera FC's protests and gave Emiliano Luke a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th minute Paolo Presebal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Aimar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emiliano Luke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Sadurni having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Traill had won after a very even match.
