With a little luck, Bajada's Gavino Patxi got control of the ball when Sixto Mon tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 7 played minutes Filomeno Elixio rounded Bajada's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. In the 11thth minute of the game Filomeno Elixio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bajada's Gavino Patxi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sergio Qwinton's late challenge caught a Bajada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sergio Qwinton helped the player get up and apologised. After 17 played minutes América got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Qwinton. América's Filomeno Elixio got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filomeno Elixio might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gavino Patxi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filomeno Elixio ran back to his position shaking his head. Gavino Patxi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filomeno Elixio's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Sixto Mon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gavino Patxi having to make a save. 34 minutes into the match, Bajada's goal looked a bit too open when Filomeno Elixio came free, but Gavino Patxi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Filomeno Elixio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gavino Patxi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Sixto Mon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Gavino Patxi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Filomeno Elixio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sixto Mon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Gavino Patxi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fausto Mancio struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Simon Jerico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bajada. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Filomeno Elixio to strike the kick off in the second half. If Roman Cesario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the América defense, Fausto Mancio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simon Jerico. The América fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simon Jerico should have stopped the shot. If Sixto Mon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filomeno Elixio in the 60th minute of play forced Bajada's goalkeeper Gavino Patxi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gavino Patxi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filomeno Elixio in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Sixto Mon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 66 minutes into the game, Filomeno Elixio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Gavino Patxi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gavino Patxi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Qwinton, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Bajada's Gavino Patxi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filomeno Elixio in the 75th minute of play. Sixto Mon might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gavino Patxi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
