Real Madrid's Norberto Cheche proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Real Madrid from getting a goal against them. If Faustino Licerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faustino Licerio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Cheche having to interfere. Alejandro Nastasio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 85 minutes, Faustino Licerio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cabalonga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Faustino Licerio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Norberto Cheche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustino Licerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 90 played minutes Real Madrid got a freekick which was hit by Placido Endira. Laureano Rios recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Real Madrid's Norberto Cheche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Licerio in the 95th minute of play. Real Madrid's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
