The supporters of Garré AFC booed when Amaná FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Errando didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 minutes, Hilario Natanael mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Amaná FC and the Garré AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 played minutes Amaná FC got a freekick which was hit by Hilario Natanael. Nicanor Rencio kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After 29 played minutes Amaná FC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Hernando. After 47 played minutes Garré AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Rencio. After having played for 48 minutes, Filiberto Araoz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amaná FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filiberto Araoz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Filiberto Araoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Jacobo Caetano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Amaná FC's Ambrosio Gabon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Caetano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Garré AFC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Gogo Lander hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Ambrosio Mino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ceferino Nesor was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Ceferino Nesor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrosio Mino in the 69th minute of play. Ambrosio Gabon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Jacobo Caetano made a huge save. In the 90th minute, Nicanor Rencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filiberto Araoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Amaná FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
