The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Arotza in the 11th minute of play forced TIBURONES PEÑASCO's goalkeeper Rolando Umea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to TIBURONES PEÑASCO getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Mariano Johans hit a great ball. A collision led to TIBURONES PEÑASCO getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ermegildo Costante hit a great ball. When Silvestre Sarracino fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paraná's protests and gave Silvestre Sarracino a yellow card for diving instead. After 19 played minutes Paraná got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Sarracino. Damaso Koldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Sergio Richie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolando Umea was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Joel Sancho. 29 minutes into the game, Paraná's Celestino Orlondon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Umea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 33 minutes into the match, TIBURONES PEÑASCO's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Arotza came free, but Rolando Umea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ermegildo Costante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Sergio Richie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celestino Orlondon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Umea having to interfere. Celestino Orlondon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Rolando Umea made a huge save.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Armando Arotza made a kick off. Christian Larra hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Joel Sancho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rolando Umea. TIBURONES PEÑASCO's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. TIBURONES PEÑASCO's Damaso Koldo got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 67 minutes, Epifanio Vellito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paraná and the TIBURONES PEÑASCO players grew even worse after the yellow card. Epifanio Vellito kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After 75 played minutes, Paraná's Joel Sancho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rolando Umea came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paraná reached it. In the 93rd minute, Celestino Orlondon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Paraná booed when TIBURONES PEÑASCO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Johans didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Paraná players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
