After 15 played minutes Nieves AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Nisio. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Segundo Txema in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugo Aureo saved Nieves AFC from getting behind. In the 21st match minute, Nieves AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damaso Cordeara to maneuver through the defense. Benito Bixintxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benito Bixintxo to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Dionisio Francesco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Erubiel Napier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hugo Aureo made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Segundo Txema sent off a good shot on target. Rodrigo Nisio hit a great ball. Segundo Txema might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hugo Aureo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Segundo Txema ran back to his position shaking his head. 86 minutes into the match, Benito Bixintxo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hugo Aureo, 1-2. In the 95th minute, Segundo Txema got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th minute, Damaso Cordeara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Centro supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Centro would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
