FUTBOL CLUB AMERICA's Ariel Oro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Manny in the 2nd minute of play. Haroldo Roldan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aquilino Galeno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Teofilio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ariel Oro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Manny, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 16 played minutes FUTBOL CLUB AMERICA got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Roldan. After having played for 18 minutes, Jeremias Orzaize managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremias Orzaize was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Manny in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ariel Oro saved FUTBOL CLUB AMERICA from getting behind. Pedro Manny struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Ariel Oro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olta FC. Aquilino Galeno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Sedeni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 minutes Olta FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Osvaldo Horado who took care of the corner kick. Roberto Teofilio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aquilino Galeno having to make a save. If Jeremias Orzaize had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeremias Orzaize's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Ariel Oro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 39 minutes, Prospero Serafo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FUTBOL CLUB AMERICA and the Olta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Prospero Serafo kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After having played for 48 minutes, Jeremias Orzaize managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremias Orzaize was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Manny to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Manny in the 52nd minute of play forced FUTBOL CLUB AMERICA's goalkeeper Ariel Oro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeremias Orzaize in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ariel Oro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 69 minutes, Julian Sedeni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FUTBOL CLUB AMERICA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Sedeni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 71st minute of the game. One of Olta FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FUTBOL CLUB AMERICA:s goal. When the match had been going on for 73 minutes, FUTBOL CLUB AMERICA's Osvaldo Horado got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Aquilino Galeno. Anastasio Galsino kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After 79 minutes of play, Olta FC's Astor Richie made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ariel Oro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aquilino Galeno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Sedeni in the 83rd minute. Aquilino Galeno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Teofilio in the 86th minute of the match. Julian Sedeni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Aquilino Galeno made a huge save. Julian Sedeni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Galeno having to interfere. Astor Richie hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Orzaize in the 97th minute of play forced FUTBOL CLUB AMERICA's goalkeeper Ariel Oro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
