Astor Hever was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 29 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of REA AZUL F.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Manfredi FC:s goal. Maximo Servando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Mikelats having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Mario Lidon managed to get in a good position for a shot. REA AZUL F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Mario Lidon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aquiles Uhin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. REA AZUL F.C's Mario Lidon got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alvaro Mikelats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximo Servando, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After 48 minutes REA AZUL F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fidel Gelacio who took care of the corner kick.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Vladimiro Argenis got free with Alvaro Mikelats in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 56th minute, Maximo Servando fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 57 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Mattin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. REA AZUL F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manfredi FC the free kick. In the 57th match minute, REA AZUL F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Mattin to maneuver through the defense. Alvaro Mikelats made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Vladimiro Argenis sent off a good shot on target. Maximo Servando struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Alvaro Mikelats didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manfredi FC. In the 79th minute of the match Fidel Gelacio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alvaro Mikelats showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 81 minutes, Mario Lidon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. REA AZUL F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Lidon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute Maximo Servando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Mikelats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mario Lidon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mario Lidon struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Aquiles Uhin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for REA AZUL F.C. When Mario Lidon came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the REA AZUL F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Lidon couldn't finish the play.
