Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ceferino Abad made the kick off which started today's match. In the 6th minute, Amancio Afonso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the game, Ceferino Abad cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Artemio Osasun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Geronimo Estebe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the América MX defense, Ceferino Abad kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Artemio Osasun. The América MX fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Artemio Osasun should have stopped the shot. In the 20th minute Ceferino Abad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artemio Osasun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute Lino Rio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorio Gelacio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute Lino Rio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorio Gelacio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Ceferino Abad left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gaona fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. When América MX's Lino Rio in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gaona's goalie prevented a goal. Artemio Osasun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Epifanio Natal's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. If Lino Rio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Gaona's zone, Albino Llope stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorio Gelacio came out of the goal and Albino Llope tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albino Llope sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Gaona's zone, Jeronimo Gaueko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorio Gelacio came out of the goal and Jeronimo Gaueko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Rio in the 59th minute of play forced Gaona's goalkeeper Victorio Gelacio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victorio Gelacio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeronimo Gaueko in the 64th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gaona's zone, Lino Rio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorio Gelacio came out of the goal and Lino Rio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albino Llope struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Victorio Gelacio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for América MX. The supporters of América MX booed when Gaona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Roldanillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Camilo Roldanillo charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Roldanillo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gaona getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Camilo Roldanillo hit a great ball. América MX's Artemio Osasun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Epifanio Natal in the 77th minute of play. Ceferino Abad received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Artemio Osasun came out and tried to block the shot, but Ceferino Abad slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 83rd minute. Geronimo Estebe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Artemio Osasun made a huge save. 90 minutes into the game, Albino Llope cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Victorio Gelacio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Amancio Afonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lino Rio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gaona were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over América MX's much stronger midfield.
