In the 2nd minute Matias Koldobika suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Eduardo Enetz fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Jacobo Fresco's late challenge caught a Húsares's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albino Bernat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Ihintza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Patricio Birjaio made a huge save. After 17 played minutes Super Chivas FC got a freekick which was hit by Armando Inge. A collision led to Super Chivas FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Armando Inge hit a great ball. Jorge Ihintza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Patricio Birjaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 23 minutes, Albino Bernat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Húsares's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albino Bernat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristobal Bernabel during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Super Chivas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristobal Bernabel to maneuver through the defense. Patricio Birjaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albino Bernat in the 26th minute of play. Armando Inge kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Húsares's Hugo Jakes shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 30th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Patricio Birjaio but with some difficulty. Patricio Birjaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albino Bernat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albino Bernat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Xacintu in the 45th minute of play forced Húsares's goalkeeper Benjamin Txindoki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 48 minutes, Patricio Birjaio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Albino Bernat made the kick off in the second half. Jorge Ihintza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albino Bernat in the 53rd minute of play forced Super Chivas FC's goalkeeper Patricio Birjaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Húsares's Jorge Ihintza got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 57 minutes of play Super Chivas FC's Jacobo Fresco was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 61st minute Jorge Ihintza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Birjaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Húsares's Albino Bernat in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Albino Bernat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Patricio Birjaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, Húsares's Jorge Ihintza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Patricio Birjaio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
