In the 4th minute, Emanuel Txindoki reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Natalio Cordara. The goal made the score 1-0. Gerardo Salvino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Firmo having to interfere. In the 11thth minute of the game Gerardo Salvino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC HIDALGUENSE's Jairo Firmo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gerardo Salvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the match, Knicks's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Reno came free, but Natalio Cordara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Marco Reno recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Natalio Cordara. Marco Reno showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerardo Salvino in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jairo Firmo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gerardo Salvino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Jairo Firmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Knicks booed when FC HIDALGUENSE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Gabirel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Knicks's Isidoro Bernad sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jairo Firmo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vladimiro Benet's late challenge caught a Knicks's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladimiro Benet helped the player get up and apologised. After 38 played minutes FC HIDALGUENSE got a freekick which was hit by Vladimiro Benet. Jairo Firmo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Salvino, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Salvino in the 46th minute of play forced FC HIDALGUENSE's goalkeeper Jairo Firmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marco Reno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gerardo Salvino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Firmo having to interfere. Jairo Firmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Bernad in the 53rd minute of the match. Martin Diegotxe charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Diegotxe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 54th minute, Martin Diegotxe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute, Knicks's Gerardo Salvino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. When Gervasio Totakoxe came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the FC HIDALGUENSE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gervasio Totakoxe couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Gerardo Salvino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jairo Firmo was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Jairo Firmo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Gerardo Salvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Knicks made a substitution. Honorato Filipo replaced Lucas Jenaro. When Gerardo Salvino came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Knicks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerardo Salvino couldn't finish the play. Knicks's Gualterio Oto was substituted for Eustacio Tab. Jairo Firmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvio Orain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC HIDALGUENSE's Jairo Firmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualterio Oto in the 91st minute of play. Jairo Firmo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerardo Salvino in the 93rd minute. Many of Knicks's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Knicks may have spent more time on the ball, but FC HIDALGUENSE were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
