Romeo Caton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Caradaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 12th match minute, Iraola FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arsenio Bautista to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Tacana's Roman Louis tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Flavio Jesco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Delmiro Ellande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Leonel Sanduru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavio Jesco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 24 minutes, Santos Urko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tacana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santos Urko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Javier Caradaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Delmiro Ellande fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iraola FC's protests and gave Delmiro Ellande a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tacana booed when Iraola FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmiro Ellande didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santos Urko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Caton having to interfere. Javier Caradaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romeo Caton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santos Urko in the 43rd minute of the match. Romeo Caton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santos Urko in the 48th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flavio Jesco made a kick off. Javier Caradaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Caton having to interfere. Delmiro Ellande got his second yellow card in the match during the 56th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 57th match minute, Iraola FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmiro Ellande to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the match, Iraola FC's goalkeeper Romeo Caton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Javier Caradaro. In the 60th minute, Javier Caradaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Iraola FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Flavio Jesco hit a great ball. Santos Urko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santos Urko in the 64th minute of play forced Iraola FC's goalkeeper Romeo Caton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Iraola FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Flavio Jesco hit a great ball. In the 71st minute, Santos Urko made a precise shot to the right of Romeo Caton. Iraola FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. With his leg Romeo Caton managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Tacana's Javier Caradaro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Silvestre Bizi kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Romeo Caton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santos Urko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romeo Caton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santos Urko in the 90th minute of play. When Santos Urko came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Tacana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santos Urko couldn't finish the play. The Tacana supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tacana would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
