After a rather tough play, Ovejería's Ruben Olivar got a free kick in the 20th minute. Ruben Olivar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristides Brion having to interfere. Mario Firman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aristides Brion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben Olivar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Chamaicó getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Hernan Videl hit a great ball. Mario Firman struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Aristides Brion didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ovejería. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ruben Olivar made a kick off. Ovejería's Emanuel Jacindo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Ovejería from getting a goal against them. Mario Firman might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aristides Brion. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mario Firman ran back to his position shaking his head. If Aureliano Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Silvano Piearres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Aristides Brion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Chamaicó's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Firman came free, but Aristides Brion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Ruben Olivar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Chamaicó's Andres Juvenal got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Chamaicó supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chamaicó would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
