Nicolas Froylan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejo Gipuzkoa in the 22nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Alvariño FC's Blas Ciceron slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nicolas Froylan. That made the score 2-0 after 25 minutes of play. Marciano Urtzi took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zeledon Bilintx. Zeledon Bilintx dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The supporters of Reynosa FC booed when Alvariño FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Kemen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zeledon Bilintx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Frutos, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonides Frutos was the one to do the kick off. Marco Kemen scored 3-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicolas Froylan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zeledon Bilintx had great luck who in the 64thth minute grab hold of the ball when Marciano Urtzi from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. With his leg Zeledon Bilintx managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Reynosa FC's Leonides Frutos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Kemen in the 68th minute of play forced Reynosa FC's goalkeeper Nicolas Froylan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reynosa FC's Leonides Frutos was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 70th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Everardo Rufo made in the 73rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Blas Ciceron however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Kemen in the 74th minute of play forced Reynosa FC's goalkeeper Nicolas Froylan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reynosa FC's Melchor Beremundo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Santo Lidon, made in the 76th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Marciano Urtzi took a quick shot and it went in 3-4 without a chance for Zeledon Bilintx to make any attempt to save it. Marciano Urtzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Alvariño FC! The Alvariño FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Reynosa FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Reynosa FC.
