Lázaro Pagomari stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonides Frutos's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Pituil's Lázaro Pagomari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marciano Urtzi in the 12th minute of play. With a little luck, Reynosa FC's Nicolas Froylan got control of the ball when Aquilino Hodei tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicolas Froylan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amador Gumaro in the 15th minute of the match. Reynosa FC's Nicolas Froylan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melquiades Ipar in the 19th minute of play. If Leonides Frutos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute Leonides Frutos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lázaro Pagomari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonides Frutos was the one to do the kick off. Lázaro Pagomari made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Leonides Frutos sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Pituil's Lázaro Pagomari got control of the ball when Leonides Frutos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute, Amador Gumaro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicolas Froylan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Nicolas Froylan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amador Gumaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Nicolas Froylan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Gumaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pituil's Lázaro Pagomari proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Pituil from getting a goal against them.
