Mayo FC's Julian Txatxu got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mayo FC's Israel Cruz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 6th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Rueda AFC. When Evelio Savier fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mayo FC's protests and gave Evelio Savier a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th match minute, Mayo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evelio Savier to maneuver through the defense. Urbano Ermano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Ulizes having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Mayo FC's goalkeeper Herminio Ulizes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Mitxel. Alfredo Mitxel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Herminio Ulizes made a huge save. In the 22nd minute, Salvador Salomon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evelio Savier hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The supporters of Rueda AFC booed when Mayo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Savier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santo Cebrian blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andres Mambru having to make a save. Andres Mambru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remigio Goito's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. When Julian Txatxu came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Mayo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Txatxu couldn't finish the play. Herminio Ulizes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urbano Ermano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Urbano Ermano was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Alfredo Mitxel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baldomiro Domeka hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. When Urbano Ermano came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Rueda AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urbano Ermano couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Mayo FC's zone, Urbano Ermano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herminio Ulizes came out of the goal and Urbano Ermano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Rueda AFC fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Rueda AFC's Urbano Ermano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Urbano Ermano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Ulizes having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Rueda AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Julian Txatxu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Mitxel in the 83rd minute of play forced Mayo FC's goalkeeper Herminio Ulizes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urbano Ermano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Ulizes having to interfere. In the 94th minute of the match Luisito Lico shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Herminio Ulizes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Txatxu in the 95th minute of play forced Rueda AFC's goalkeeper Andres Mambru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urbano Ermano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Herminio Ulizes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rueda AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
