Nicolas Kinsen hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in América's zone, Santo Cebrian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Beturian came out of the goal and Santo Cebrian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Frans in the 15th minute of play forced Mayo FC's goalkeeper Herminio Ulizes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Guerau hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the game, Cayetano Favila was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. América's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mayo FC the free kick. Cayetano Favila kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Julian Txatxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Beturian having to interfere. 29 minutes into the game, Santo Cebrian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Flavio Beturian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Santo Cebrian succeeded in the game's 36th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. In the 42nd minute Daniel Ekaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Ulizes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mayo FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Evelio Savier hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Mayo FC's Santo Cebrian got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Flavio Beturian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santo Cebrian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tiburcio Frans came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the América fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiburcio Frans couldn't finish the play. Julian Txatxu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A nice corner shot did that Israel Cruz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Flavio Beturian quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After having played for 67 minutes, Santo Cebrian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mayo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santo Cebrian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Mayo FC's Julian Txatxu in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye América's goalie prevented a goal. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Herminio Ulizes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 73rd minute Julian Txatxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Beturian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to América getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Alonzo Ermano hit a great ball. If Santo Cebrian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julian Txatxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Beturian having to interfere. Julian Txatxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Flavio Beturian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Santo Cebrian came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Mayo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santo Cebrian couldn't finish the play. Alonzo Ermano hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mayo FC had played much better football throughout.
