Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Andres Hulberto made the kick off which started today's match. When Andres Hulberto came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Encón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andres Hulberto couldn't finish the play. Severino Serapio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roberto Gil went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Unanué's Roque Canor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres Hulberto in the 20th minute of play. Roque Umea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nemesio Cefero hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Unanué's goalkeeper Roque Canor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roque Umea. In the 42nd minute, Roque Umea fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Roque Canor, passed just outside the right post. Mariano Danel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Danel was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, one of Encón:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Encón. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andres Hulberto in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roque Canor saved Unanué from getting behind. Roque Canor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roque Umea in the 64th minute of play. Roque Canor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Umea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the game, Ambrosio Iban was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Unanué's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Encón the free kick. After 71 played minutes Unanué got a freekick which was hit by Ambrosio Iban. Roque Umea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Roque Canor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Danel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Serapio having to interfere. Unanué's Roque Canor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres Hulberto in the 82nd minute of play. After 85 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Encón! Encón:s Severino Serapio showed great skill when he stopped Urbano Herena:s penalty. After some careless play in the Encón defense, Urbano Herena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severino Serapio. The Encón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severino Serapio should have stopped the shot. Andres Hulberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roque Canor having to interfere. In the 101st minute Andres Hulberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Canor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Unanué supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Unanué would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
