If Ceferino Paz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernan Francho got free with Fabian Froila in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabian Froila made an important save on a dangerous shot by Uriel Artaldo in the 14th minute. Emanuel Nuxila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Eufrasio in the 18th minute of play. Uriel Artaldo might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabian Froila. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Uriel Artaldo ran back to his position shaking his head. Uriel Artaldo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fabian Froila. Ñoquebe's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fabian Froila made an important save on a dangerous shot by Uriel Artaldo in the 36th minute. A collision led to Ñoquebe getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Erasmo Berbiz hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, CHIVAS's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Berbiz came free, but Emanuel Nuxila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Berbiz in the 47th minute of play forced CHIVAS's goalkeeper Emanuel Nuxila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Ceferino Paz made the kick off in the second half. Santos Montay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Fabian Froila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ceferino Paz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Froila having to interfere. Uriel Artaldo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabian Froila having to make a save. CHIVAS's Emanuel Nuxila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Esquipula in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute Dario Esquipula shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Nuxila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uriel Artaldo in the 66th minute of play forced Ñoquebe's goalkeeper Fabian Froila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Uriel Artaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabian Froila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uriel Artaldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Ceferino Paz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CHIVAS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 83 played minutes CHIVAS got a freekick which was hit by Matias Egoi. CHIVAS's Jose Lugo was substituted for Fernan Francho. Matias Egoi kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Alonzo Perico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Uriel Artaldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ñoquebe's Erasmo Berbiz got his second yellow card of the match in the 96th minute. The referee ordered Erasmo Berbiz off the ground. The supporters of CHIVAS booed when Ñoquebe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Berbiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. CHIVAS had won after a very even match.
