The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice moves Victor Beturian could shoot a difficult shot in the 7th minute, which Sixto Ralondo however easily saved by the left post. Edgardo Guipuzkoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Astor Boniel charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Astor Boniel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Anta FC booed when Maravilla AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Astor Boniel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raimundo Arnau struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Roberto Llope didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anta FC. If Raimundo Arnau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Anta FC's Sixto Ralondo got control of the ball when Victor Beturian tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victor Beturian who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Sixto Ralondo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Edgardo Guipuzkoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Sixto Ralondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Raimundo Arnau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Llope took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nemesio Lluciano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgardo Guipuzkoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sixto Ralondo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Beturian in the 35th minute. Raimundo Arnau blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roberto Llope having to make a save. Nemesio Lluciano might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roberto Llope. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nemesio Lluciano ran back to his position shaking his head. Raimundo Arnau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Llope having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nemesio Lluciano was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Maravilla AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abelardo Enetz was slow to take the kick. During this time Anta FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Anta FC's corner Abelardo Enetz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Roberto Llope quite easily take care of the ball. Edgardo Guipuzkoa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sixto Ralondo having to make a save. Maravilla AFC's Victor Beturian got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anier Grabiel lost his temper 65 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Maravilla AFC! 73 minutes into the match, Maravilla AFC's goalkeeper Roberto Llope had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raimundo Arnau. Sixto Ralondo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Beturian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Nemesio Lluciano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Anta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Beturian came free, but Sixto Ralondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raimundo Arnau's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Roberto Llope firmly grabbed it by the left post. Anta FC were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Maravilla AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abelardo Enetz took the corner. The corner led to Anta FC's Isidro Hechter getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Lucas Eufemio hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After 95 minutes of play, Maravilla AFC's Victor Beturian made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sixto Ralondo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
