The supporters of Caminiaga booed when Smith AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Froylan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Apolo Kimetz succeeded in the game's 7th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. In the 9th minute, Higinio Rito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Lizardi in the 12th minute of play forced Caminiaga's goalkeeper Baldomero Endira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gaston Markel came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Caminiaga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaston Markel couldn't finish the play. After 18 played minutes Smith AFC got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Orzaize. Baldomero Endira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Ramone in the 22nd minute of play. Baldomero Endira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eustaquio Lizardi went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Baldomero Endira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustaquio Lizardi in the 30th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Eustaquio Lizardi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baldomero Endira was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aaron Walme during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Smith AFC's Eriberto Ramone got a free kick in the 34th minute. If Gaston Markel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Seguinus was a little too slow when Apolo Kimetz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 2-1. Aaron Walme kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Baldomero Endira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Ramone, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Eustaquio Lizardi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baldomero Endira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eustaquio Lizardi was the one to do the kick off. Eriberto Ramone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the match, Smith AFC's Eriberto Ramone sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baldomero Endira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eriberto Ramone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Baldomero Endira made a huge save. Eriberto Ramone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Endira having to interfere. Eriberto Ramone blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baldomero Endira having to make a save. In the 70th minute, Gaston Markel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgardo Seguinus was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 76th minute, Justo Firmin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gaston Markel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Caminiaga's goal looked a bit too open when Eustaquio Lizardi came free, but Baldomero Endira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caminiaga's Baldomero Endira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Caminiaga from getting a goal against them. When Higinio Rito fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caminiaga's protests and gave Higinio Rito a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Caminiaga's Higinio Rito got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eriberto Ramone got free with Baldomero Endira in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baldomero Endira made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Eriberto Ramone sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 97 minutes, Apolo Kimetz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caminiaga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Apolo Kimetz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Caminiaga fans cheered their team off the field, for while Smith AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
